FRACTURA was the result of an accident in the foundry, a mistake that could have led to the discarding of the piece. Instead, Francesca decided to rescue and assemble it, giving it new meanings. The work shows how, in the face of our ruptures or fractures, we still function. The wounds and cracks exposed in the sculpture represent our own scars, which should not be conceived as a source of shame, but of pride and strength. This work celebrates the beauty in imperfection, highlighting the vulnerability and resilience that emerge from the multiple experiences that constitute us as human beings.
