Metaphors of Being explores identity through characters disguised with masks, animal costumes, and textures inspired by plants or minerals, questioning humanity’s ability to discover itself beyond its façades.

Tangled exemplifies these fantastic anatomies, where the octopus’s ability to adapt to its environment mirrors the female figure’s transformation, change, and self-adjustment.

Francesca is intrigued by octopuses, they are such amazing creatures, they can squeeze themselves into tiny holes, change their shape and color, they are a great metaphor for transformation, change and self challenging. Francesca has different pieces related to octopus, in different sizes and materials.
