El Rostro Oculto llega a Querétaro

I have exciting news! My solo exhibition, El Rostro Oculto (The Hidden Face), will open its third venue this Wednesday, September 25th, at 7 PM at the Centro de las Artes de Querétaro (CEART). It's a true privilege to share this exhibition with a new audience, after having been displayed at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de San Luis Potosí and in Monterrey.

This exhibition is very special to me. It originated in 2023 when I was invited to hold a solo exhibition at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de SLP. The pieces that comprise it are the result of two intense projects, "Conexiones" (Connections) and "Soledad" (Solitude), which were not only physically demanding but also arose from deep interaction with victims of violence in Mexico.

Those who know my work know that my themes are usually more introspective and personal. However, I felt the need to visually discuss such important issues as violence and its effects. The exhibition consists of two installations, a video installation, and a group of 25 sculptures that have been kindly lent by my Mexican collectors to allow them to travel.

After six months of exhibition in San Luis Potosí, it became fundamental for me that these pieces could be seen by more people. That's why I decided for the exhibition to travel to different states, and now it's Querétaro's turn. I'm excited to exhibit in such an important venue as CEART and to have the opportunity to interact with everyone who attends the opening.
