October among flowers

Hello, friends

October has been a month for me to fully immerse myself in my art. My days have been filled with modeling clay, molds, patinas, and flower petals. In this back and forth of shapes and colors, I have felt the satisfaction of creating and seeing how my sculptures breathe and come to life.

That is why it fills me with pride when I can share my sculptures with the world, and this time they will be present in two very special exhibitions in which I will be participating.

Tzompantli

This project was born from the vision of my dear friend Ivette.

The collective exhibition opens on October 25th at the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern (MEAM) in Barcelona, a place that captivated my attention on my last trip to Spain.

For this exhibition, my pieces Memorias and De los huesos la flor converse around a reflection on death from a contemporary perspective, inspired by the Mesoamerican cosmovision of the Tzompantli. Those walls of skulls that symbolized both power over enemies and connection with the gods.

Our contemporary Tzompantli brings together works of painting, sculpture, installation, and graphic art that intertwine life, identity, and the permanence of the spirit through art.

It is an honor to be part of this encounter and to share space with great artists from all over the world in such a profound and luminous dialogue.

Aguafuerte Galería's 20th Anniversary

This year, Aguafuerte Galería celebrates its twentieth anniversary. I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with them for many years, and it fills me with joy to be part of this very special moment.

Over these two decades, the gallery has kept alive its mission of bringing art closer to all people, and together we have built a lot on that path.

To those in Mexico City, I extend an invitation to visit the exhibition from November 4th to 30th, where two of my pieces will be part of this celebration that honors art and the friendships that flourish with time.
