PINOCCHIO CUORE is a bronze sculpture of a chubby man riding a toy horse with a playful attitude, and with a serene expression on his face. He seems at peace with himself, enjoying life.
Pinocchio is one of the favorite story from the artist’s childhood and she wanted make a tribute to the importance of playing and not take life seriously.
This version with the Heart (cuore in Italian) was especially made for a friend, a great painter. She asked the artist to add a heart somewhere, and Francesca decided to put it on the chest, as it was exposed, vulnerable and perfectly ok with that.
This feature is also in Con il cuore in gola and La espera.
This piece has a black patina with golden details, polished to reveal the natural bronze color.
The black patina is made from the green one, after a burning process, so magical and mystical.
