Peter Pan is a bronze sculpture depicting a boy standing with a paper hat and a bird resting on his shoulder. The piece is inspired by the Scottish tale by J. M. Barrie about a boy who never grows up and lives endless adventures in Neverland. Beyond the literary reference, the sculpture captures an adolescent at the threshold of adulthood: his body is changing, responsibilities await him, yet he still inhabits the last breath of childhood innocence. The figure becomes a quiet cry of hope, urging the preservation of imagination and wonder as life moves forward.
The sculpture is part of the series The Children and Their Imaginary Friends, a project that pays homage to the innocence and bravery of childhood that persists into adulthood, often hidden. For the artist, art is a tool for exploration and catharsis, enabling self-knowledge for both creator and viewer, and creating a shared space of emotional connection through the work.
