ASÍ COMO ME GUSTARÍA SER is a resin sculpture of a man with dragon costume.
The title means, in Spanish, “as I would like to be”. As humans, we have desires and ambitions, and sometimes we are not satisfied with who we are.
This piece is part of the collection Disfraces e Identidad (Customs and Identities), where Francesca explores different aspect of the person identity, and how people wear roles and personalities according to the situation. In this serie, the artist wonders what is the true self, and what is a lie we tell other and the society.
This piece is hand painted with oil colors.
