FLOWERS is a resin sculpture of an old man with a flower mask that hide part of his face.
This piece was originally a spontaneous vision inspired by the fantasy of the artist. The interpretation is that people sometimes hide themselves or part of their personality in order to fin into family, society, relationships, jobs or friendships, as a form of self protection, or in search of approval, or to impress someone.
The cuts are moments when we let others see what is inside us. This is a metaphor of the human condition. It is almost impossible to be 1 hundred percent authentic, and it is a challenge for the artist to show herself as much as possible.
This is a unique piece, there are no other equals.
