SEMYAZZA is a female bronze sculpture. Semyazza, supreme leader of the Grigori who promoted disobedience against God and convinced his host that they should have progeny with humans.
We can also highlight Azazel, who taught men what war and witchcraft were; Gadreel, who turned into a serpent and tricked Eve into expelling them from Eden; or Remiel, who before his fall had been in charge of guiding the deceased in their ascent to Heaven.
The interpretation of Francesca dalla Benetta is a sculptural figure with large wings and unruly hair that in her movements as if she were on fire, seems to draw the shape of demonic horns. Her demeanor is reflective, perhaps contrite, with a low, inward gaze.
The beauty of her is decadent, yet the strength of her wings. the elegance of gold in her hair and convey power and a message of freedom: to be able to choose our future and escape from a pre-designed destiny.
The patina is an experimental one, made with drained and burnt copper nitrate, with golden polished spots.
