Alter ego

Artwork Details

ALTER EGO is a resin sculpture adorned with mixed-media flowers that sprout delicately from the figure's shoulders and crown. The piece depicts a humanoid bust with soft, pale features, a serene yet introspective gaze, and a surreal extension resembling animal bones. The juxtaposition of fragile blossoms with the skeletal forms reflects a dialogue between life and death, delicacy and resilience. Subtle touches of color on the flowers and the figure’s flushed cheeks add warmth and life to its otherwise muted tones.

This sculpture belongs to the collection "Where Flowers Are Born", which explores themes of transformation, rebirth, and hope. Each piece in the collection, often monochrome and white, incorporates floral elements as symbols of life emerging from decay. Through this piece, the artist invites reflection on the beauty of metamorphosis and the enduring power of nature and humanity to thrive even in adversity.
