The interpretation of Francesca dalla Benetta is a sculptural figure with large wings and unruly hair that in her movements, as if she were on fire, seems to draw the shape of demonic horns. Her demeanor is reflective, perhaps contrite, with a low, inward gaze. The patina is an experimental one, made with drained and burnt copper nitrate, with golden polished spots.
