IL GIOCO is a bronze sculpture of the twins of a dear friend while they are playing with their favorite toys. Il gioco means the game in Italian.
The challenge here was to make a tiny couple of portraits very similar to the models. Francesca realized this piece with a deep sense of playfulness, and she loved the contact with the children at the moment of taking pictures for the work.
This piece, even if was born by commission, became a tribute to brotherhood and to innocence.
This piece has a black patina with golden details, polished to reveal the natural bronze color.The black patina is made from the green one, after a burning process, so magical and mystical.
