WHERE IS HOME is a bronze bust of a woman with flowers and houses on her head.
The title tells the story of this piece, a reminder that home is a concept mainly in our head, and we can make “home” every place where we feel comfortable and at ease. The artist wants remind to herself that the body is our real home, and that she can be well everywhere. This is a very dear theme to Francesca since she is far away from home and sometimes she need to remember that she is not lost.
This piece has a black and green patina with golden details, polished to reveal the natural bronze color. The black patina is made from the green one, after the burning process, so magical and mystical.
