LE ALI DELLA LIBERTÁ is a bronze sculpture of a chubby man sitting on a dragon with a serene expression on his face. He seems at peace with himself, enjoying life. The title means “the wings of freedom” in Italian.
It is a reflection about how imagination represents freedom and a way to fly away from daily problems. Everybody deals with social duties and personal issues (blame, shame, lack of happiness and so on) in a different way, and sometimes we creates imaginary worlds where to escape when wee feel overwhelmed.
This piece has a black and patina with golden details, polished to reveal the natural bronze color.
The black patina is made from the green one, after a burning process, so magical and mystical.
This sculpture is a single piece.
